There are moments when being far from family feels especially heavy.
And then there are moments like this—when the distance feels unbearable.
Our family is grieving the loss of my Uncle, Jeffrey L. “Jeff” Fritz—a father, a brother, a son, and a man deeply loved. These are the hardest of times, and being unable to physically show up for family only deepens the ache.
I cannot be there in person to sit beside my family, handle arrangements, or shoulder the weight of goodbye. But I can help ease the practical burden—and invite our community to carry it with me. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who helped with our last fundraiser—your generosity and love made a real difference, and I am so grateful.
Carrying Love Forward is a quiet fundraiser created to help cover Jeff’s cremation expenses and support his sons, JJ and Tristan, and my stepmother, Brenda (Jeff’s sister) during this season of grief. About my Uncle Jeff
Jeffrey L. “Jeff” Fritz, 56, passed away at home on December 28, 2025, after a 2½-year battle with brain and lung cancer.
Born in Harrison Township, Pennsylvania, Jeff lived a life marked by loyalty, kindness, and quiet strength. For 24 years, he was a dedicated employee of Mount Joy Wire Corp, known for his steady presence and strong work ethic.
Outside of work, Jeff enjoyed working on cars, riding and admiring Harley-Davidson motorcycles, watching football, and spending time with family and friends. He had a larger-than-life presence, balanced by a gentle nature and an easy ability to make others smile.
Above all, Jeff was a devoted father. His world revolved around his two sons, Jeffrey Jr. and Tristan, and everything he did was rooted in love for them.
Jeff will be remembered for his kindness, faithfulness as a friend, and the quiet ways he showed up for others. He is also remembered alongside his loyal companion, his Boxer dog, Gunner, who was rarely far from his side.
Funeral services are private and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Jeff’s memory may be made toward cremation expenses.
Heavenly Father, as I think of my parent, I ask that You bring light to these memories. Help me to see their life as a reflection of Your grace and to cherish the moments You gave us together. Let these memories be a source of gratitude and not despair, a reminder of Your goodness that is with me always.
Father, thank You for the gift of my parent’s love and the blessing of their life. In You, these memories are held forever.
